More than coffee. More than a restaurant. Double Black is a way of life at the base of the mountain.

The Beginning

Double Black has been a fixture at the base of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort for over 12 years. In 2022, we took over this little mountain spot and brought our own touch — inspired by the French Alps, where we come from.

Our idea was simple: good food, good coffee, good drinks and good vibes. A place where locals, riders, skiers and visitors can come together after an adventure — or start their day the right way.

Everything is made with care, from homemade dishes and sweet treats to our coffee, brewed with award-winning Phil & Sebastian beans from Calgary. Our taps celebrate local craft beer from some of our favourite BC breweries — Whitetooth, Fernie and Nelson.

French inspiration, Canadian mountains, and a love for bringing people together — that's what Double Black is all about.

Everything we serve is crafted in our kitchen. No pre-made, no shortcuts. From the pizza dough to the fondue blend, you can taste the difference.
